Department of Agriculture (DA) in Region 6 announces that they are now hiring more staff for Special Area for Agricultural Development (SAAD) job vacancies. This DA hiring for SAAD jobs will be under the Contract of Service from January to June 2021.
According to DA, SAAD is a locally-funded program of the agency intended to help alleviate poverty among the marginalized sectors on agriculture and fishery. Coined after the Visayan word “saad” which means promise, SAAD is a breakthrough project which seeks to increase food production and reduce poverty in the Philippines.
Through the SAAD program, a total of 30 priority provinces with high poverty incidence rate among families have been given assistance in both agriculture and fisheries since year 2017.

DA in Western Visayas announced that there are vacant positions under the program such as Agriculturist, Information Officer, Agricultural Technician, Area Coordinator, IT Officer, Project Development Officer, and Agricultural Technician to be deployed in the region.
Agriculturist I – P 20,754.00
A graduate of Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture
With at least 6 hours relevant training
Appropriate RA 1080
Should have strong organizational skills
Good in oral and written communications
Knowledge of computer systems and its applications such as MS Word, excel, etc.
Can work under pressure
Information Officer I – P 20,754.00
A graduate of Bachelor’s Degree preferably mass communication or relevant to the job
Career Service Professional (2nd level eligibility)
At least one (1) year relevant work experience and 4 hours of relevant training
Can work under minimum supervision
Good in oral and written communications
Working knowledge of MS Office Applications
Good interpersonal relationship and work attitude

With at least 4 hours relevant training

A graduate of Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Information Technology
Civil Service Eligible
With at least 6 months relevant experience and at least 6 hours relevant training
Knowledge in geotagging is an advantage
Excellent in both written and oral communication
Excellent in knowledge in basic and advance computer applications
Project Development Officer I – P 20,754.00
A graduate of Bachelor’s Degree relevant to the job
With at least 6 hours relevant training

Should have strong organizational skills
Good in oral and written communications
Knowledge of computer systems and its applications such as MS Word, excel, etc.
Preferably with community organizing/development experience
