DBM: Gov’t workers to receive mid-year bonus starting May 15

Good news to all workers in the government! Department of Budget and Management (DBM) announces that the midyear bonus will be given to state workers starting May 15, 2018.

According to Budget secretary Benjamin Diokno, the Duterte administration has allocated P36.2 billion for the mid-year bonus, which will be given to 1.5 million employees.

The scheduled release is just in time for families to use it for tuition fees and gearing up for the rainy season ahead. Midyear bonus is equivalent to 1 month basic pay as of May 15, 2018.

Guidelines for the release of the bonus is stipulated in Budget Circular No. 2017-2.

Who are qualified to receive Mid-Year Bonus?
>All positions of civilian personnel, whether regular, contractual or casual in nature, appointive or elective, full time or part time created in the Executive, Legislative and Judicial branches, Constitutional Commissions and other Constitutional Offices, SUCs, GOCCs covered by the CPCS under RA 6758, as amended by Congress Joint Resolutions No. 1 series of 1994 and No. 4 series of 2009;
> Officials and employees of various local government offices including barangays;
> Military uniformed personnel of AFP, DND, PNP, PPSC, BFP, BJMP, PCG, NAMRIA.

Conditions:
Personnel who has rendered at least a total or an aggregate of 4 months of service from July 1, 2017 to May 15, 2018.
Personnel who remain to be in the government service as of May 15, 2018.
Personnel who has obtained at leas a satisfactory performance rating.
