JOBSTART: 240 Ilonggo youths qualify for life skills training

Are you one of those who registered for the Jobstart Iloilo program by Public Service Employment Office (PESO) of the province of Iloilo? The list of those who qualified for Life Skills Training is out, and posted below.

The JobStart Program is an employment facilitation initiative by Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) with technical assistance from Asian Development Bank (ADB) and funding support from Canadian government. The program aims to enhance the knowledge and skills of jobseekers in formal education and technical training in order for them to become responsive to the demands of labor market.

The first phase of the program is the 10-day Life Skills Training, which will be on November 6-16, 2017. JobStarters were grouped into batches of 40 which will undergo training in different venues such as Cabatuan, Sta. Barbara, Institute for Values and Professional Development in Iloilo City, and Iloilo Sports Complex Covered Gym.

If you are one of those listed above, expect a call from JobStart Iloilo tomorrow, November 3 on the details of Life Skills Training.

After the Life Skills Training, participants will join the Technical Training for a maximum of three months, and Internship also for a maximum of three months.

Province of Iloilo thru its PESO was chosen as one of fifteen areas for the launching of JobStart Philippines Program.
